Do you think that oil prices will hit $100 a barrel?

Right now it hits the 75 dollar barrier. The Venezulan president said that it will get higher if the US hit Iran. Not only that, theres also a collusion that big oil companies charged the prices more than $5 a gallon. Why don’t we get oil from Middle East with Diplomacy instead of having a [...]

Experts think USA, oil, prices, will continue to increase. What does that mean for americans?

Experts think the average, national, gallon, of regular gas price will be at least $4.00. In the future, Asia will demand more oil in the future. The price of oil will increase… Someday, the average, national, gallon, of regular gas price will be at least $6.00. What will this do to the american economy? How [...]

Are oil prices gonna go up cause of hurricane Ike?

I hear a lot about gas prices but nothing about crude. If it is going up how much do you think? If not do you think it’ll go down more.

With oil prices and demand on the rise are you now more supportive of local drilling efforts ?

Oil is obviously something we’re going to need for a long time. Why not extract what we have in an environmentally sound way?

Is the middle east purposefully trying to bleed our country dry w/skyrocketing oil prices?

It seems if our country cannot be easily destroyed with terrorism or other methods, raising gas prices to extremely high levels seems like the legit way to go. Why are they so hellbent on destroying America? Or are they just really concerned about the profit margin, and it’s not a question of destroying a country [...]

When are people going to figure out that its not the lack of oil causing gas prices to soar Its just greed?

The combined profit for the two companies was close to $17 billion—$9.08 billion for Shell and $7.6 billion for BP. These figures include earnings attributed to the rise in oil prices. If this rise is factored out (as is done in the so-called current cost of supplies figures), Shell’s profits were $7.8 billion and BP’s [...]

Why is DUG down when oil prices are down?

DUG is an exchange traded fund that is supposed to short oil. However, today with oil down again, it is also down. It’s down as much as oil is on a percentage bases. Does anybody know why that occurs?

How does alternative energy lead to lower oil prices?

Alternative energy is energy…like electricity. Oil isn’t used for electricity – or is it? I can’t think straight right now, I’m so confused. So if we have more alternative energy, why does that reduce our dependance on oil? Thanks …You didn’t answer the question. Why is there less demand for oil (thus, creating lower oil [...]

Where can I find detailed oil prices (spot and futures)?

Hi, I am looking for daily closing crude oil prices (both in spot and for 3 months futures, 6 months futures, etc). I am looking for prices which I can study on my own, rather than charts which cannot be analysed further. Where do I suggest I check? Many thanks,
